What separates UAASO apart from many other Asian organizations among college campuses, is when they mean "Unified", it becomes a mantra instead of a title. The majority of the organization is Asian, but does not limit membership to only students of Asian descent. Being associated with the Student Government Association (SGA), a densely diverse unit on the campus of MSU, proves that under this entity, the organization's main objective is to expose students not aware of Asian culture to the beauty it possesses. As the numbers of active members grow, the hope is to become a driving force in the MSU community, so the stereotypical idea of an introverted Asian is not assumed.
