The fundamental purpose of the Muslim Students Association, is to encourage and enable its members, with basic knowledge and competence in Islam, to contribute individually and collectively toward meeting human needs in conformity with Islamic doctrines and beliefs. Under the ceiling of the University, and SGA policies, we shall introduce the Muslim cultural heritage of the Islamic world to the student body of Montclair State University, and also act as a bridge between the community at Montclair State University and the communities of the Islamic World.

5th Annual Islamic Awareness Week (April 26th - April 30th)

 Montclair MSA once again brings you its annual Islamic Awareness Week, planned to be held during the 4th week of April, during which you will have a chance to enjoy a variety of MSA events that are educational, interactive, fun, and of course, who can forget a whole week of DELICIOUS FOOD?!

So what are the events?

- Monday April 26th, 2010: "Back to Basics" 
- Tuesday April 27th, 2010: "J.A.D. Jesus Awareness Day"
- Wednesday April 28th, 2010: "Tempted to Touch: Gender relations in Islam"
- Thursday April 29th, 2010:  "Behind the Veil... Behind the Beard..."
- Friday April 30th, 2010:  "Jumu'aa prayer and BBQ" at the SC Quad

So what are you waiting for?! Make your calendar and be there to benefit from all this knowledge, let alone all the amaazzzinnggg food. Don't miss out!!

On behalf of the Muslim Students' Association, I would like to sincerely thank you for your interest in our webpage and our organization. As you can notice in the mission statement of the MSA, this organization stands for spreading awareness about Islam on the MSU campus, and is intended to foster a learning environment in which people of all faiths can learn from one another.
